Shipping Policy — Darves

Processing & Dispatch

Refrigerated and frozen orders ship Monday through Wednesday, subject to availability and scheduling. Orders received after the weekly shipping cutoff will be scheduled for the next available shipping date.

Processing time is separate from transit time. Applicable timeframes will be provided at checkout or in your shipping quote. We do not dispatch orders on weekends or holidays.

If we cannot meet the stated dispatch timeframe, we will notify you and offer the option to accept a revised date or cancel for the applicable refund, as required by law.

Shipping Rates & Quotes

Shipping rates depend on the destination, weight, order contents, and required packaging. Charges will be displayed at checkout or provided in a shipping quote.

Orders requiring a quote will not ship until the customer approves and pays the applicable charges. Requesting a quote does not confirm shipment.

Carriers & Estimated Delivery Dates

Once we hand your order to the carrier, the carrier handles transportation, tracking, and delivery. Delays, losses, or damage attributable solely to the carrier must be addressed through a claim with that company and do not automatically qualify for a refund or replacement from Darves.

The customer must contact the carrier directly and initiate the claim using their tracking number when the carrier allows recipients to file claims. If the carrier requires the sender to file, the customer must notify Darves and provide the necessary documentation so we can submit the claim.

Delivery dates are estimates and do not guarantee arrival for a particular event or date unless Darves expressly agrees otherwise.

Addresses & Customer-Requested Changes

Customers must provide a complete, accurate, and accessible delivery address, along with valid contact information.

Changes cannot be guaranteed once order preparation has begun or the order has shipped. Additional costs resulting from customer-requested corrections, reshipments, or redirections are the customer’s responsibility, subject to prior disclosure and approval.

To the extent permitted by law, Darves does not cover loss or spoilage caused by incorrect customer information, customer-requested redirections, or access restrictions within the customer’s control.

Receiving & Storing Food Products

Customers must monitor tracking, arrange for prompt receipt, and immediately store food products according to each product’s instructions.

Darves does not cover spoilage caused by packages left uncollected after correct delivery, subsequent heat exposure, or improper storage or handling after receipt.

Pickup & Local Delivery

Free pickup requires prior coordination and confirmation that your order is ready.

Local delivery terms and fees will be provided before the service is confirmed. Customers must be available during the agreed delivery window. Redelivery required because of customer absence or incorrect information may incur an additional charge, disclosed before rescheduling.

Reporting Order Issues

Inspect your order upon arrival. For perishable products, we request that damage, missing items, or incorrect products be reported within 24 hours of delivery.

Please include:

  • Your order number.
  • A description of the issue.
  • Photos of the affected products, packaging, and shipping label.

Late reports or insufficient evidence may prevent us from verifying the cause of an issue and may result in a claim being denied where permitted by law.

If your package does not arrive, contact the carrier promptly using the procedure described above. Errors involving the contents of your order must be reported directly to Darves.

Do not return products without prior authorization.

Carrier Claims

Claims are subject to the requirements, deadlines, and coverage of the selected shipping service. Customers must provide the documentation requested to evaluate the incident.

Claim approval and compensation amounts are not guaranteed.

Refunds & Additional Expenses

To the extent permitted by law, we do not compensate for inconvenience, lost time, disrupted events, or indirect expenses resulting from delays.

Charges for shipping services properly performed are nonrefundable when the issue results from a change of mind or customer error. This does not apply when a refund of those charges is legally required.

When a refund is due, it will be issued to the original payment method. Store credit will not be imposed in place of a legally required refund.

Contact & Applicable Rights

For assistance, use the customer service contact listed on our website and include your order number.

This policy does not affect consumer rights provided under applicable law.
